Mt Pleasant School is fortunate to have always had a strong, committed and skilled group of people willing to oversee and govern the direction and goals of the school.

The Principal is responsible for the day to day running of the school.

The Board is responsible for the governance of our school setting the strategic direction in consultation with staff, parents and students and meeting legal and statutory requirements.

The Board provides governance and stewardship on the management of personnel, property, finance and administration. This specifically includes the responsibility for implementing the Charter, setting and reviewing goals, implementing policies and assessing performance in relation to these.

The Principal (as Chief Executive of the school) is charged with the responsibility of achieving these objectives through effective day to day management of the school’s staff and resources.  As a Board, we liaise closely with the Principal.

Meetings – 2017 Schedule

Our Board usually meets on the last Thursday of each month, meetings commence at 6.30pm and are held in the school staff room. All meetings are public meetings and minutes are published. 



Please note that minutes are only published here after they are passed, e.g. minutes of a February Meeting are passed at the March meeting, and so will be published after the March meeting.

Board Talk

In the newsletter following every meeting one Board Member will write a very short summary of what was covered at the meeting or about an aspect of the meeting that they think is of interest to the wider community.  This will be published in the school newsletter.  The purpose of this is to inform and enable connection and conversation with the wider school community.
