Kia ora, Ta lofa & Welcome

Our school is nestled in the quiet suburb of Mt Pleasant, overlooking the Canterbury plains.  We work really hard to ensure that from the minute you walk through our gates, you feel welcome.
Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will ever make for your child.  Your most treasured possession is about to take a BIG step in their life and you want to make sure they are nurtured, enriched and inspired through their school years.  This decision is even bigger if it is your first or only child entering the schooling system for the first time.
As a school, we believe that relationships are the foundation of leaning.  If we get this right, learning and achievement follow.  We work very hard to ensure our students and parents feel welcome and supported within the school.  Part of this is the level of communication and opened that exists here.  You are always welcome to visit and take part in your child’s education.  If you have a question … we will answer it.  If you want to know more … we will tell you what we know.
Our balanced staff are all committed professionals who work hard to master their craft.  This means they are open to professional learning and value open and honest feedback.  They will look for new and innovative ways to engage students in purposeful, engaging learning aimed at developing a strong sense of the world around them.
We are proud to be implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.  We aim to  develop internationally-minded students who, recognising  their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
